Today should have brought us the first race of the Coupe de Bretagne here in Douarnenez but the weather gods have been in bad form this afternoon and as a result it hasn’t been possible to run the single planned race. The boats went afloat on time for the anticipated 2.30 start and for almost three hours the race committee tried to find stable wind for them, but a series of thunderstorms rolling around the area have kept the wind going around in circles and refusing to settle long enough to enable a race. Right now the Dragons are heading back to the dock and we’ll get a more detailed report from Stavros shortly.
