The 2015 Dragon “Corinthian” Cup is nearly upon us… 1st to 5th July, in Glucksburg..
Yes fellow sailors, after the success of the 1st Corinthian “ONLY” Championship last year in Deauville, it is now the turn of Germany to host the 2nd event… So here is your chance to take part in an amateur only sailing regatta.. No Professional’s, No Coach Boat’s, just good old fashioned sailing, like it used to be 🙂
This will be an excellent event at a special venue. Glucksburg is a small town situated on the south side of the Flensburg Fjord, just 10km northeast of Flensburg. It is a base for the German Navy with many historic buildings.
Here is the Glucksburg Castle. A fantastic building well worth a visit.
The main organisers of the regatta Helmut Schmidt and Alexander Plath welcome all ISAF Grade 1 sailors to join them in July. They have organised a very experience Race Management Team, with courses set within a short distance of a very nice clubhouse. It will be a very friendly atmosphere and will give sailors a chance to compete on a level playing field against the best.
The closing date of June 8th has been extended, so please contact the organisers for more information. This will be an excellent event so try to make a plan to take part & give last year’s winner Jan Woortman a tough time 🙂
