Good morning from day 3 here at the Dragon Irish Nationals in Cultra where the crews are slowly gathering at the club to nurse hangovers and compare stories of last night’s daring do at Simon and Juanita’s brilliant BBQ.
Its overcast here today and we have a threat of showers. There’s not a lot of wind yet but every now and then a zephyr of breeze comes down the Loch from Belfast. As I type its just picked up again for a while and here in the club garden we have about 5 knots. Sadly on the race area it still looks very flat indeed. PRO Alan Crosbie, who has come up from Kinsale especially for the event, has his beady eye on the situation.
While we wait we’re enjoying complimentary coffee and some fab home made scones provided by the Royal North Of Ireland Yacht Club.
