As we approach the end of lockdown it is wonderful to see so many close friends and Dragon Sailors here preparing to do battle in Dragor for the Danish Grand Prix. It is truly magnificent to have such a high class field assembled for this first “post covid” Grade 1.
Racing begins tomorrow (Thursday 29th) under the watchful eye of yours truly and the more expert eye of Nino Shmueli (who was Principal Race Officer at 2016 Olympics).
Conditions look robust for the opening day which will test the legendary seakeeping abilities of this classic “one design” class. Hopefully, the seamanship of the sailors present will match the calibre of these yachts…..
