Yesterday’s start was delayed as the Ora blew fitfully and the course had to be shortened before the finish. This was won by Wolfgang R. BAYS, Michael HESTBAEK and Kasper HARSBERG in GER 1227.
The second race was held in slightly more stable conditions but the sailors still had to cope with significant wind shifts as the southerly Ora failed to establish properly. The second race was won by Dirk OLDENBURG, Ian AINSLIE and Dominik ZYCKI in SUI 313.
Today (Friday) there is a risk of rain and thunderstorms which will undoubtedly affect the wind patterns. If the race officer can work his magic and get some races completed, the discard will kick in and this will see some changes for sure in the leaderboard.
Saturday’s weather looks likely to return to more normal glorious Garda conditions.
