Lee Kum Kee Announced as Sponsor of 2027 Dragon World Championship
The Organising Committee of the 2027 Dragon World Championship has announced Lee Kum Kee Sauce as a sponsor of the event, bringing together an iconic Hong Kong brand with one of sailing’s most historic one-design classes.

Taking place in Hong Kong for the first time, the 2027 Dragon World Championship will welcome leading Dragon teams from around the world for a week of competitive racing, international camaraderie and celebration of the Class.
The partnership highlights Hong Kong’s growing role as a major international sailing destination, while also recognising the shared heritage between the city, the Dragon Class and Lee Kum Kee.
The Hong Kong Dragon fleet first raced in local waters in 1932 — the same year Lee Kum Kee moved its headquarters to Hong Kong. Nearly a century later, both continue to represent craftsmanship, consistency, community and international connection.
A Landmark Championship for Hong Kong
The 2027 Dragon World Championship is expected to deliver world-class racing against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s famous harbour and skyline, while creating wider opportunities for clubs, schools, supporters and the public to engage with the sport.

Lee Kum Kee already has strong links with sport and sailing in Hong Kong, including support for the Hong Kong Sailing Team, the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s Generations Sailing Team, and the Hong Kong Windsurfing Circuit.
The full announcement includes comments from the 2027 Dragon Worlds Organising Committee and Lee Kum Kee, along with further background on the partnership.
