With 40 boats registered for the Armistice Cup at the Yacht Club de Cannes, it hasbeen somewhat frustrating to have 2 days cancelled due to strong winds..
However, 3 or 4 races tomorrow, starting at 09.30am will provide some relief for the teams that have been sat around during the past two days. As you can see from the photo above, Tim Tavinor has been keeping himself busy enjoying the local delicacies….

The “Mistral” wind blows from the North West and it accelerates as it passes through the Rhone Valley. It can reach speeds of up to 90 miles per hour, so the PRO had no option but to cancel both Friday and Saturday’s racing. The Mestral as it’s called in Catalan and the Maestrale for those in Corsica, is expected to die away tomorrow. Leaving this eager fleet ready to “Go”.. 🙂
