The Organising Committee of the 2027 Hong Kong Dragon World Championship has announced North Sails as an Official Sail Partner for the championship.

The event will be held from 21–29 November 2026 at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and the Clear Water Bay Golf and Country Club.

The partnership represents another important milestone for a championship that will make history as the first Dragon World Championship ever staged in Asia. More than 90 boats and over 350 sailors from across the international Dragon community are expected to take part.

North Sails has a long-standing association with the International Dragon Class and will provide competitors with a comprehensive range of support before and during the championship.

Support for competing teams

North Sails Hong Kong is offering a 15% discount on One Design sail orders placed before the end of September, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Orders placed early will receive guaranteed delivery in time for the championship, with the option for sails to be delivered directly to the venue.

North Sails will also provide pre-event and on-site sail servicing and repairs, including overnight and urgent repair support during racing days. This will help teams remain fully prepared and race-ready throughout the championship.

A historic championship

Speaking on behalf of the Organising Committee, Nick Bilcliffe welcomed North Sails to the championship and highlighted the importance of having experienced technical support available to competitors throughout the event.

The partnership further demonstrates North Sails’ continuing commitment to the International Dragon Class and the growth of high-performance one-design sailing in Asia.
