After this morning’s postponement the sun finally came out and the race committee was able to run two races with the first start at 2pm and the boats finally coming ashore just after 7pm on the second day of the 2011 European Championship in Boltenhagen.

The provisional overall results are now online and they show that overall Martin Paissen of Sweden is leading both the overall and the Corinthian divisions with his crew Goran Alm and Johan Noren.  In second place overall is TTommy Mueller sailing for Germany with Vincie Hoesch and Micky Lipp and third place is now filled by Igor Goikhberg of Russia sailing with Dmitry Berezkin and Roman Sadchukov.  Fourth place in the overall competition and second Corinthian place is now held by Germany’s Kerstin Beucke.

There are a number of protests pending this evening including one which involved the overall leader Marty Paisson so there may yet be changes to the overall standings.
